Teaching at the HMT Rostock – A special experience

Music is a language that goes beyond words – an art that combines emotions, stories and personality. For me, teaching at the Rostock University of Music and Theatre means developing and refining this language together with young, talented musicians.

The HMT Rostock offers an extraordinary atmosphere: the close proximity to the Baltic Sea, the historic building, the inspiring college and, above all, the committed students make this university a unique place of learning. This is not just about technology and perfection, but about the development of an individual musical voice.

The close cooperation with the students is particularly attractive for me. Each of them brings their own artistic vision, and it is a wonderful challenge to accompany, promote and inspire them on their journey. Teaching is not a one-sided process – I learn as much of my students as it is from me. Together we explore the deep expressive possibilities of music, look for new interpretations and develop a conscious artistic identity.

Another highlight is the opportunity to stand on stage with the students, to make chamber music and to experience their development not only in class, but also in the concert hall. This practical approach makes the study at the HMT Rostock particularly valuable.

For me, teaching at this university is not only a task, but a matter close to my heart. It is inspiring to see how young musicians become mature artistic personalities – with their own sound, their own voice and a deep connection to music.
