Ensemble Dimensions was founded in collaboration with like-minded international musicians: the piano duo Olha Chipak and Oleksiy Kushnir, concert pianist Lilit Grigoryan, and the percussion duo Theresia Seifert and Francisco Manuel Anguas Rodriguez. It is an ensemble unique in the world with its instrumentation—three pianos and two percussionists.
The more familiar formation of two pianos and two percussionists already lends a certain grandeur to a piece. However, the addition of a third piano opens up entirely new horizons, introducing new dimensions to the soundscape and offering rich stereophonic possibilities. This not only provides space for creativity in new compositions but also allows well-known symphonic works to reveal their special, unexpected, and hidden aspects in a fresh light—from a new perspective, enhanced by the flexibility and free breathing of a chamber music ensemble.
